I get Mr. Paulo Coelho's messages everyday in my mobile...! Yeah its the author of the famous book The Alchemist. I am not kidding here.

My question to him is "What if there is no work to do?"

I may answer you for this. My suggestion, your question is totally wrong. If there is no work there is no need of being a human. Even from the ancients times things never moved automatically, it needs to get push or to be triggered.
